PERİYODİK CETVEL

Periyodik cetvel elementleri gösteren ve özellikleriyle ilgili bilgi veren bir tablodur. Bu tabloda elementler atom numaralarına göre sıralanmıştır. Yatay sıralara periyot ; düşey sıralara ise grup denir. Aynı gruptaki elementler birbirleriyle benzer özellik gösterirler. Periyodik cetvelin en sağındaki grupta yer alan elementlere soygaz (asalgaz) denir.
Periyodik cetveli 3 ana grupta inceleyebiliriz. Bunlar metal , ametal ve soygazdır.
Periyodik cetvelde bazı grupların özel adı vardır.

6. Bazik özellik azalır, asidik özellik artar. grup

Per. cetvelde yukarıdan aşağıya inilince
1. Atom numarası ve kütle numarası artar.
2. Atom çapı artar.
3. Elektron ilgisi azalır
4. Elektron koparmak kolaylaşır.
5. Metallik özellik artar , ametallik azalır.
6. Bazik özellik artar, asidik özellik azalır.


Örnek: 3. Periyot 6A grubunda bulunan X elementi ile 4. Periyot 1A grubunda bulunan Y elementinin oluşturacağı bileşiğin bir molekülünde kaç elektron vardır?
Çözüm:
X : 2 , 8 , 6 Yükü = - 2 olur. Y : 2 , 8 , 8 , 1 Yükü = +1 olur.
Y+1X-2 çaprazlama yapılırsa Y2X bileşiği oluşur. 2.Y + 1.X = 2 .19 + 16 = 54 e

Bileşiklerin Adlandırılması:
Bileşik formülleri element sembollerinden yararlanılarak yazılır. Formül yazılırken önce pozitif değerli atom yazılır. Daha sonra negatif değerli atom veya kök yazılır. Bileşik oluşumundaki alınan ve verilen elektron sayıları eşitlenir.

ELEKTRON DAĞILIMI Atomun çekirdeği etrafında elektronların dizildiği yörünge adını verdiğimiz enerji katmanları vardır. Çekirdeğin etrafından başlayarak 1.2.3.4..... yörünge şeklinde sıralanırlar. Her yörüngede bulunacak elektron sayısı ise 2n2 ile hesaplanır.
n = yörünge sayısıdır.
1.yörünge = 2 2.yörünge = 8 3.yörünge = 18 4.yörünge = 32 Dış yörüngedeki elektronlar kolayca atomdan ayrılabilir. İlk yörüngedeki elektronlar kolayca ayrılamaz. Son yörüngede en fazla 8 bir önceki yörüngesinde ise en fazla 18 elektron bulunur. Atomlar son yörüngelerini ya 8 ya da 2 ye tamamlamak ister. Böylece soygaza benzemek ister. Birden fazla elementin belirli oranlarda kimyasal yollarla bir araya gelerek kendi özelligini kaybedip oluşturdukları yeni saf maddeye bileşik denir. Bileşikteki atomların cins ve sayısını ifade etmeye bileşik formülü denir.


Kaba (Basit) Formül
  • Bileşikteki atomların cinsini ve oranını belirten formüldür.
  • Kaba formül ile bileşiğin molekül ağırlığı hesaplanamaz.
Gerçek (molekül) formül
  • Bileşikteki atomların cinsini, oranını ve sayısını belirten formüldür.
  • Bileşiğin molekül ağırlığı hesaplanabilir.
  • İyonik bağlı bileşiklerin kaba formülleri ile gerçek formülleri aynıdır. Kovalent bağlı bileşiklerde ise bir tane kaba formüle ait çok sayıda gerçek formül olabilir.

DEĞERLİK BULMA
  1. A grubu metalleri bileşiklerinde daima aynı değerliği alırlar.
  2. B grubu metalleri (Geçiş metalleri) bileşiklerinde farklı (+) değerlik alabilirler.
  3. Ametallerin (-) değerlikleri genellikle bir tanedir. Fakat farklı (+) değerlik alabilirler.
  4. Hidrojenin değerligi ametallerle yaptığı bileşiklerde (+1), metallerle yaptığı bileşiklerde (-1) dir.
  5. Oksijenin degerligi peroksitler hariç (-2) dir.
  6. Element halindeki atomların değerliği ve bileşiğin toplam yükü sıfırdır.
Not: Değerliği bilinen elementler yardımıyla bilinmeyenler bulunabilir. Bileşik nötr ise yükler toplamı sıfır olacaktır.

Örnek
Aşağıdaki elementlerin değerlik bulunmalarını inceleyiniz.

  1. K2CrO4 Þ K = +1,O = ? 2 olduğundan
    2(+1) + Cr + 4 . (? 2) = 0
    Cr = + 6 bulunur.

  1. Suya H+1 iyonu verebilen bileşiklere asit denir.
  2. (Cu, Hg,Ag, Pt, Au) metalleri hariç diğer tüm metallerle H2 gazı açığa çıkar.
  3. Sulu çözeltileri elektrik akımını iletir.
  4. Turnusol kağıdını kırmızıya boyarlar.
  5. Bazlarla reaksiyona girerek tuz oluştururlar.
  6. Tadları ekşidir.
  7. Asidin değerliği: Suya verdiği H+ iyonu sayısıdır.
    HBr® H+ + Br? (1) değerlikli
    H2CO3 ® 2H+ + CO3?2 (2) değerlikli
    CH3COOH® CH3COO? + H+ (1) değerlikli
  8. Asitin kuvvetliliği: Suda %100 iyonlaşabilen asitlere kuvvetli asit, %100 iyonlaşamayanlara zayıf asit denir.
    Elektrik akımını iyi ileten asitlere kuvvetli asit, iyi iletmeyenlere zayıf asit denir.
    Periyotlar cetvelinde ise soldan sağa doğru ve yukarıdan aşağıya doğru asitlik kuvveti artar.

3. Nötr oksit
Ametallerin oksijence eşit veya fakir olan oksitlerine nötr oksit denir.

a. Asitlerle,bazlarla ve su ile etkileşmezler.
b. Oksijen ile tekrar yakılabilirler.

4. Anfoter oksit
Hem asit ile hem de bazla ayrı ayrı reaksiyona girebilen maddelere anfoter maddeler denir.
Asitlere karşı baz,bazlara karşı asit özelliği gösteren maddelere denir.

5. Peroksit
